World-renowned human beatboxer and music producer SO-SO has created a brand-new track using only two sound sources: his own signature beatbox and lots of environmental sounds recorded throughout Kyoto Station.

This project isn't just about simply releasing a new song. SO-SO has taken on the role of sound producer for the entire Kyoto Station Building, designing a sonic experience that blends seamlessly into the space itself.

Every sound in the new track comes exclusively from [SO-SO's voice] and [the sounds of Kyoto Station].
From the audio announcement, the sound of a ticket passing through the ticket gate and the ringing bell at East Plaza the footsteps of tourists, the ambient sounds of the bus terminal, and the reverberation of the grand staircase reaching toward the sky - SO-SO captured these sounds with high-resolution field recording, layering them with his beatbox to craft a track that is at once electronic and deeply human.
The result is a composition where the station itself becomes a musical instrument.

"Kyoto Station is full of sounds born from the crossing of people, the city, and nature. I wanted to let those sounds ring out as music, just as they are.If it feels like my beatbox and Kyoto Station are having a conversation, I'd be really happy." SO-SO says.

This project marks a new challenge for SO-SO - one that explores how music can serve as an interface between people and place, offering a fresh perspective on how sound can shape our urban environments.
