Artist Profile

  • FRME

Hip-hop MC born in 1987, based in Naebo, Higashi-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido. His voice and melodic sense are immediately recognizable, but the true essence of his music is the groove produced by his strong sense of rhythm. When you hear his tenacious flow, which is like a sea of dancing on the edge of the beat, you will know what a funky and soulful musician he is. As a high school student, he was exposed to West Coast Hip-Hop, Gangsta, Scarface, and other bands such as 2pac and Scarface. He was introduced to West Coast Hiphop and Gangsta Rap in high school. He formed a crew called FAKE ID with his classmates Salu and MC Matsushima and started performing live. After that, he joined Refugee Camp, a crew in his hometown of Sapporo, and has been releasing music consistently since around 2011. He has participated in the productions of DJ NOBU a.k.a. BOMBRUSH! "YOU KNOW HOW WE DO IT Vol.3", b.i.g joe "Tears EP", DJ Matsunaga "Circus Melody", DJ SEIJI "BOOM BAP BOX", KOYANMUSIC "prelude", and many others. He has shown high expectations and potential in the music scene. In 2015, he co-released the EP "MakeABreakAHoliC" with his friend Jazadocument, which was a huge hit and hard to get, and gained a lot of support from quick-witted heads. In 2016, the first AL "Raise the flag" was released by his crew Refugecamp. In 2016, he released his crew RefugeeCamp's first AL "Raise the flag", which made the impression that FRME is the next generation of Hokkaido music. While continuing his activities as a solo artist and a member of his crew, FRME was constantly asked to perform as a guest artist, and his participation in the works of SALU, ELIONE, 13ell, I-Dea, Shinkan1000, and others was well received. Finally, in the spring of 2023, he will release his long-awaited first solo album "Steps On The Hill," produced entirely by BACHLOGIC.
