This song tells the story of being left behind by a partner. However, the lyrics feel slightly awkward and lack the emotional turbulence typical of a heartbreak song. In fact, this isn't a song about heartbreak at all. Moreover, the lyrics are a nonfiction account of the songwriter's own experience (though admittedly a bit exaggerated).
