Masumi Ormandy's third studio album, "CLOSER TO YOU: A tribute to the Carpenters" receives this completely new "Vienna Mix", courtesy of Directer/Producer Otmar Binder, featuring all 11 tracks from the initial release.
Complimenting the initial "Tokyo Mix", this album maintains the same collaborations with musicians Otmar Binder, Alexander Lackner, Michael Strasser, Andy Steirer, Oliver Gattringer, Lorenz Raab, Wolfgang Tockner and Geri Schuller, as well as long-time collaborator, Nobuyuki Yanagisawa, backed by Shinpei Inoue, Michiru Maki and Miwa Sugai. This release, however, was mixed entirely by Otmar Binder and his team in Vienna -- hence, "Vienna Mix".
International vocalist Masumi Ormandy has devoted much of her life to English language education in Japan, co-founding Pacific Language School in Tokyo in 1972. Her serious rededication to music, her first love, commenced over ten years ago, both for personal enjoyment and with the aim of demonstrating the use of songs to help bridge the language barrier between Japan and the outer world.
