The Cards I Play
The Cards I Playは、東京で交わった3つの個性、3人のメンバーから成るオルタナティブロックバンド。 高鳴る鼓動の如く、熱を帯びた空気感と手に汗握る緊張感、そして夢へと向かう勇姿の全てを音で表現する。 メタル、ヒップホップ、ロックなど様々なジャンルのエッセンスを掛け合わせ、ユニークで唯一無二なサウンドを武器としている。 2022年3月に1st フルアルバム、『Retrograde』をリリースし、国内iTunesロックチャートにて28位を記録。 アルバムのリリースに伴って開催した初の東名阪ツアーのファイナル公演では開催会場である渋谷CYCLONEを埋め尽くし、チケットが見事完売。 「Retrograde」はFalling in Reverse, I Prevail, blessthefallなどのバンドをプロデュース、かつグラミー賞に2度のノミネート経験があるTyler Smyth氏がマスタリング、 Sawdust Recordingsの創始者でありドイツメタルバンドAnnisokayのメンバーであるChristoph Wieczorekがミキシングと、 2人の海外エンジニアを起用したことにより音質、楽曲共により高みを目指したThe Cards I Playが渾身のアルバムをリリース。 同アルバムは全国流通も果たした。 2022年９月にはヒップホップやメタルといった音楽ジャンルはもちろんのこと、 ダンス、フードなど様々なカルチャーの融合を目指すクロスジャンルイベント『”B4”』の定期開催を開始するなど意欲的に活動している。 2023年4月13日に約1年ぶりのニューシングル『FATE』をデジタルリリース。 オルタナティブロックやメタルコアをはじめ、HIP-HOPやSYNTHWAVEの要素を強く取り入れ、新たなバンドサウンドの形を定義。 それぞれのメンバーの技術や個性を最大限に活かした唯一無二な作品である。 「FATE」を含めた2nd EP「everything we love」を2023年7月にリリース。 2024年5月にキャリア初のワンマンライブを開催決定。
