"Blonde" is a folk single by Aomori-born artist Minori Nakano, released on April 7, 2026.
The song tells the story of a university girl who has just moved to a new city where no one knows her. In order not to disappear among the crowd, she decides to dye her hair blonde. It is not a symbol of excitement, but a quiet attempt to survive and remain visible in an unfamiliar place.
As campus life gradually settles, she begins to notice the distance between herself and the people around her. Even while surrounded by others, she feels alone - as if she were living inside a fragile bubble.
Built on a simple arrangement of acoustic guitar and vocals, the song carries a sense of motion while expressing the loneliness of being out of place and the quiet determination to keep existing within it.
Minori Nakano is an artist born in 2000 in Aomori, Japan. Performing with only guitar and voice, she creates folk songs that paint landscapes born from emotion. Her music is woven with a clear, transparent voice and honest lyrics, where scenes unfold like a story from the feelings of the protagonist. Within her quiet sound, the air of the seasons, shifting light, and the subtle presence of people gently emerge. Beyond music, she also creates the visual world of her work herself, illustrating CD jackets and filming and editing her own music videos. For her latest single "Blonde", she illustrated the cover artwork, and for "28 Cycle" she directed and edited the music video. In the future, she plans to expand her creative practice into animation and physical expression through ballet, which she has studied since childhood. Through words, sound, image, and movement, she continues to quietly depict the landscapes that arise within the heart.
