手にしていたのはノコギリか、それと
ああ、きっとそれを山に捧げるのだ
人の脚でないことを願った何か
思わず崩した姿勢で付いた手が
焦がされた鉄の蓋の上
音すら立てられず動けなかったんだ
残った手で口を抑え息を止めた
正常なのはアダムかイヴか
赤いケープだけ纏った二人組
それを剥いでしまえばわからないのに
それを剥いでいなければ人ではなかった
何かをもって歩く男と女
手にしていたのは牛刀とノコギリと
そうだ、それを山に捧げにいくのだ
胴がない、胴だけがない
そこで見た怪をぬぐい去るために
焦がされた鉄の蓋の上
あの日見た中で一番鮮やかな
赤を選んだ知恵ではなく病を宿した
それぞれの恐れを葬り去って
写し出でたのは異形の人類
