DJ and beatmaker TOSHIKI HAYASHI(%C) joins forces with singer-songwriter and DJ Lil Summer for the advance release of their cover single "Rock the Boat."

The track is a reimagining of Aaliyah's iconic "Rock the Boat," one of the defining R&B songs of the 2000s. Deeply influenced by Aaliyah's music, Lil Summer brings her own interpretation to the song through a refreshing arrangement by TOSHIKI HAYASHI(%C), incorporating elements of Afrobeats and Amapiano. While preserving the sweet and sensual charm of the original, the cover transforms the track into an open and uplifting soundscape reminiscent of a summer seaside atmosphere. Blending nostalgia for 2000s R&B with a contemporary dance music sensibility, the result is a sophisticated and modern reinterpretation.

    TOSHIKI HAYASHI(%C)は東京を拠点に活動する、DJ/BEAT MAKER、音楽プロデュー サー。 HIPHOPを基礎に、City PopやR&Bなど様々なジャンルの楽曲を制作。 2019年にはマンハッタンレコードからBASI、鈴木真海子をftした「TIME IS OVER EP」を発表、2023年10月にはアルバム「MAHORO」をリリース。 iri、SKRYU、chelmicoへの楽曲提供やTokimeki RecordsやCBSのRemixを手がけるなどメジャー、インディーズ問わず良質な音楽を数多く提供している。 またラップデュオchelmicoのサポートLIVE DJとしても活躍し、全国各地でライブを行っている。

    福岡出身、東京を拠点に活動するシンガーソングライター / DJ。Aaliyah、Erykah Badu、J Dillaなどに影響を受け、R&B、Neo Soul、Hip Hopを融合したサウンドを展開。シルキーで浮遊感のあるボーカルとグルーヴィーなプロダクションを特徴とし、日本のオルタナティブR&Bシーンにおいて注目を集めている。2023年には1st EP『Rojo』をリリース。同年、ロンドンでROMderfulとのライブ共演を果たし、SUNSET LIVEなどのフェスにも出演。音楽コレクティブ / レーベル「w.a.u」に所属し、S.A.R.、TOSHIKI HAYASHI(%C)、grooveman Spotらとのコラボレーションも行っている。
