Tokyo indie duo petalhead returns with "Shoka No Escapism"--Early Summer Escapism, their first single since the release of their debut album, "The Uncaging of a Paper Crane" in October 2025, which reached No. 1 on the weekly chart at Tower Records Shibuya Tower Cruise Corner.
Inspired by the golden glow of 1980s J-pop, Shoka No Escapism is a whimsical escape from reality, surrendering to the bliss of summer, if even for a moment. Nostalgic and dream-like, the song invites listener find their own escape.
