Artist Profile
yusraume
Nagoya-based three-piece rock band that officially launched in early 2025. Formed within the Nagoya University Folk Song Club, they stand in a lineage connected to predecessors such as DOIMOI and Souvenir, as well as contemporary acts shaping the Nagoya indie scene, including MokuGyoJin, BO5TON 33, and Odontolabis femoralis. Their sound draws from both Japanese and international EMO, post-rock, and post-hardcore from the 1990s to the present, reinterpreted through a modern sensibility. It also shares a sense of contemporaneity and resonance with Kumamoto-based band futurina. Built upon a tightly constructed rhythm section that balances weight and delicacy, chaos and beauty, their music is further defined by Natsume's sobbing, emotionally charged guitar work and vocals that carry a quiet intensity. The result is an expression that avoids relying on mere explosive dynamics, instead cutting to the core of what EMO represents. In early 2026, they released their first physical record, self-recorded and self-released, marking them as a band poised for further growth.
