Revelation

In the past, humanity yearned for an encounter with extraterrestrial life and launched space probes carrying information about ourselves and our planet into the cosmos. What if, in a similar vein, a being possessing an intelligence far surpassing our own were already sending us a message? Could humanity meet this new intelligence and-rather than engaging in conflict or domination-sit together at the same round table as equals?
