Positive barrier

Even when faced with a succession of painful or sorrowful events, simply weeping does nothing to change reality. This work uses vivid colors to depict the act of shielding one's heart-wrapping oneself in a positive mindset, even if it requires a bit of force. Our state of mind affects our physical well-being; the goal is not to force a smile, but simply to shift one's focus, however slightly, toward a brighter outlook. The piece was created by filmmaker TETSU, drawing upon his own experience battling a rare, stage 4 cancer.
