I turned 60 this year and work as a doctor in the middle of nowhere on the Kanto Plain, 100km north of Tokyo. I started composing again in 2018 after a 32-year hiatus. When I was age of 20, my composition teacher was a big fan of Andy Warhol, and we often went to see his works together. I composed this music based on those memories.
I'm a doctor living in the countryside of the Kanto Plain, 100km north of Tokyo. I was born in 1966 and hadn't done any musical work for 32 years, but I found the time in 2018 to start composing musics again. I lived in New York for two years from 1978 for my father's work, but I forgot English. I met my jazz teacher as a teenager and became interested in jazz. I was originally a big fan of YMO and Ryuichi Sakamoto, but after meeting my teacher, my musical tastes changed. That said, I still love both Ryuichi Sakamoto and YMO. Personally, I'm willing to compose musics for anything except enka. I consider the time I wrote enka to be the culmination of my career as a composer. I've decided to share my music, from jazz to techno, classical to world music, with the world as proof of my life. To my teacher, Katsu, I'd like to thank you for imparting your musical knowledge to me at a young age.
