Face Our Wave

This song began the day someone I care about wore down and had to stop. No time left for his kid, ground away between difficult conversations and words from people who never move their own hands - and watching it, I kept thinking: is that really a healthy way to live?

Me, I come back to life through my family's smiles. Ocean waves, clouds drifting across the sky. When winter comes, I carve my own line across white snow with my own body. Five minutes of skateboarding to the station. Vibes in my headphones. Even five minutes is enough to feel the wave. I want to live feeling that - good waves, good energy - on this earth of infinite possibility.

That energy isn't just for me. To everyone whose spirit is sinking under work: that is not all life is. Waves are everywhere - at work, in any field. Stopping isn't failure; floating out there, waiting for your set, is part of surfing too.
