In this capitalistic world, riddled with fakes
How much of you can remain unbroken?
I long to know your true desire
Not the ideals society has forced upon you
If you are unable to respond
Then perhaps you are not the one for me, sorry
Let's play truth or dare, hey, you aware?
Let's play, would you still choose the truth?
Every secret, every dare
Are you ready to unveil?
My heart laid bare, do you even care?
Every secret, every dare
Are you ready to unveil?
My heart laid bare, do you even care?
London, Tokyo, New York to LA
Paris, Madrid, and Sydney
Time and distance don’t matter anymore
But do you still feel me as, far away?
I’m not into your wealth, just wanna be your friend
I think I've already made my stance clear
You’re still chasing status, your bank account, your end
Let's play truth or dare, hey, you aware?
Let's play, would you still choose the truth?
Every secret, every dare
Are you ready to unveil?
My heart laid bare, do you even care?
Every secret, every dare
Are you ready to unveil?
My heart laid bare, do you even care?
Every secret, every dare
Are you ready to unveil?
My heart laid bare, do you even care?
Do you even care?
Do you even care?
Do you even care?
Do you even care?

Truth or Dare
The Vounds
Following their debut with first single "Soul Sister", four-piece The Vounds deliver their debut EP, Culture Vulture.
The title itself takes a cheeky swipe at the highbrow posers and trend-chasers who merely flock around the scene, yet only a band with supreme confidence in their craft could pull off a name packed with such razor-sharp wit and irony.
Tracked entirely at London's iconic Abbey Road Studios and mixed and mastered completely in analogue in Tokyo, the record stands as a defiant anti-AI statement in the modern landscape. While the EP proudly wears its members' eclectic musical heritage on its sleeve-spanning punk, garage, metal, emo, and elements from across musical eras, their raw musicianship and immaculate production elevate the record far beyond mere nostalgic homage, transforming it into a strikingly modern statement.
Artist Profile
The Vounds
The Vounds are a London-formed, Tokyo-based four-piece alternative band featuring Aya (vocals), Ryo (bass), Haruka (guitar), and Tetsu (drums). Rooted in alternative rock, the band draws on its members' diverse musical backgrounds to forge a sound where post-punk attitude, indie sleaze aesthetics, alt-pop hooks, and hip-hop-driven rhythms collide. By blending raw guitars with dancefloor momentum and sharp vocal phrasing, The Vounds sit squarely at the intersection of alternative rock and club culture, equally at home in a sweaty basement venue or on a massive festival stage. This boundary-crossing approach drives bold, fluid songwriting that moves effortlessly between genres while maintaining a razor-sharp, cohesive identity. At the center of their sonic landscape is Aya's commanding and versatile vocal presence, which shifts seamlessly from husky, breath-laced intimacy to soaring high registers and rapid-fire delivery. Her performance is anchored by a tight, high-impact rhythm section and dynamic, effects-textured guitar work. That raw studio chemistry translates powerfully on stage. Defined by explosive builds, controlled tension, and an undeniable command over the crowd, their live sets are urgent, deeply physical, and impossible to ignore. Formed in London, Aya's second home, and shaped by the members' lives in Tokyo, the band beautifully embodies the duality of both metropolises. Their sound channels an indie sleaze sensibility infused with London's underground grit and Tokyo's neon precision, creating a cross-cultural identity that is vibrant, current, and primed for the global stage.
