"The time is coming when each of us must hear what the Spirit has to say."
This was shortly before the wave of new infectious diseases that had begun to spread around the world and were sweeping over Japan.
In the midst of days when I had taken it for granted to spend my days gathering at the house of prayer and praying, and to gather at church on Sundays to offer worship services, I was perplexed by the Lord's sudden and imminent speaking to me.

In this day and age, we are bombarded with all kinds of information, voices flying in and out, and events that shake our hearts to the core. People are tossed about by the voices of the world, claiming that they are the ones who know the right information.
In this context, whose voice must we Christians listen to? The One to whom we must listen with our whole being: the Lord. The Lord's voice is not easy to hear. It is not the Lord's presence in a flashy event, nor in a loud voice.
The voice of the Lord is so faint that it cannot be heard without a broken spirit, being a poor in spirit saying, 'I cannot take one step forward without the Lord's presence.
Just as John, the youngest of the disciples, stayed closest to Jesus and asked the Lord for His will, we too should stay close enough to hear the Lord's heartbeat and be those who hear the Word of God and the voice of the Lord.
