The ticking of the clock echoes

Poems flow and vanish

I wrote them down

To hold them after every blink

Catching them with both hands

A trace of lingering anxiety

Reflects your shadow

For happy yet painful memories

Was never satisfied

Always wanting too much

Just a little more, just a little longer

It binds me still

But I feel I might break free

From these promises

The voice I depended on

I cover my ears with both hands
