    OZ3 save the world

    Ken Uchida

My first solo project in 20 years. I decided to make something simple for the first time in a long time to have fun even though I am an old man. I love to play with instruments, but I have stripped down the other instruments, focusing mainly on beats. I hope that old men all over the country will be able to understand my feelings.

Artist Profile

  • Ken Uchida

Born in Chigasaki City, Japan in 1971. Ken Uchida started playing guitar in junior high school under the influence of friends, and spent his high school years in a rock band. 20 years old, Ken decided to move to the U.S. and start his life all over again without knowing the language. After graduating from college in Chicago, Ken worked as an interior designer for an architectural firm in Chicago, and also started producing music at night with Hudson Beauduy, Jude Jean Pierre, and others. Ken experienced for arranging and studio work at the studio of Chicago R&B producer Leo Graham. In 2000, Ken joined Cha Cha Slide, a project of M.O.B. Records. In 2002, the album was awarded a Gold Record for selling 500,000 copies. In 2004, Ken began releasing Sound Sketch PHASE ONE and PHASE TWO as a solo project in the US, UK, and Japan. In 2005, after 13 years in the U.S., Ken returned to Japan permanently. Ken dropped a full-length album, PHASE THREE, based on the concept of the transition of time from night to morning, and began live performances. Even though he is now an old man, various projects are still underway behind the scenes based in his hometown of Shonan coast.
