This mix combines field recordings of waves from Jordan's Dead Sea coast with crystal bowl sounds performed at Mount Fuji's Fifth Station prayer site.
The Dead Sea lies at -430 meters below sea level, the lowest point on Earth. Its highly saline waters support no life. Recording there felt like standing at the very core of the Earth. I recorded during the hottest part of the day, when the sun beat down directly overhead, leaving me drenched in sweat.
The crystal bowls were field recorded at the dawn of the thirteenth night at Kofuji, the fifth station of Mount Fuji. The thirteenth night of late autumn has been called the Chestnut Moon in Japan since ancient times, and the divine moon shone brilliantly.
Crystal Bowl Music is an artist who conveys the energy of love and healing through music. With experience working as a recording engineer in New York, the artist became acutely aware of the importance of the energy of love following the events of the September 11 terrorist attacks. The artist discovered crystal bowls five years ago and uses them to create music that heals both mind and body by harnessing their beautiful tones and frequencies. His signature work, Shining on the Dead Sea, skillfully blends the multi layered resonance of crystal bowls to achieve a sound with depth and breadth, much like a recording engineer fine tuning the frequencies of multiple instruments. Crystal Bowl Music delivers energy of love and peace to listeners, promoting spiritual purification and healing. Moving forward, he will continue his creative work with the goal of conveying a message of love to even more people.
