I was inside a birdcage

My wings were merely for show

There’s no point in living here

The sky was clear and vast

Stretching on forever

But, I couldn’t even get close to

One day, a cat came along

And though this cage was knocked to the floor

At that moment, my way out suddenly appeared

Risking the life

Freedom came to me

I took flight as if gliding and never back

Just believe to be free

And feel it

Gonna be free

I was always being made fun of

Never expected anything of

Yet, my activities were restricted uh

It was alike a guard dog that never barked at outside

Sitting there, chained up

And staring off there

I wonder how much time has passed

The iron has started to rust

It will probably never be that red-hot lump again

But there was still something left in Pandora’s box

These wings will fly towards the sun

Born to be free

No kings

No slaves

My God created freedom

It’s not over yet

I don’t need money or fame

I will keep flying as far as I can

Until my strength gives out

By the grace of God

Until dawn
