Serph, the trickster of electronic music, will release his new album Apopcalips on August 5, 2022, with the theme being "a teleporter to the parallel world".
In this album, Serph goes beyond the transboundary style presented in his most recent work, nirva, by further improving the precision of his sound selection and building sound by focusing on the arrangement and comfort of the bass. The result is aggressive pop music that densely weaves collage, church music, progressive rock, R&B, soul, dub, jazz, and ASMR. The cover artwork of the album is by Argentinean artist, Alejandro Sordi.
Serph's new album, Apopcalips, is the soundtrack that rewrites the world's apocalyptic situation and continues to the city of God. Let's share the moment of a breakthrough with music.
A solo project by a male Tokyoite. Serph released his first album "accidental tourist" in July 2009, only 3 years after beginning the piano and composition. Since then, he has constantly been releasing his works. In January 2014, he held his first solo concert and live performance that sold out at LIQUIDROOM. In July 2016, he released his updated greatest hits album "PLUS ULTRA". In April 2018, he held his second solo concert and live performance for the first time in 4 years, which was a great success. In September 2020, he released "Disney Glitter Melodies", an official Disney music cover album from Walt Disney Records. In April 2021, he performed at Secret Sky 2021, an online festival organized by Porter Robinson. He also creates tracks and remixes for other artists, produces music for commercials, web advertisements, TV drama series, planetarium exhibitions and more.
