"Before We Became Us" is the eighth release from Yo2La.
Perhaps even the time before we knew each other was already part of the story that would eventually bring us together.
A promise made long ago, the strange familiarity of meeting someone for the first time, and a connection that feels too meaningful to be called mere coincidence.
Built around the idea of being reborn to continue where a past "see you again" left off, the song tells the story of two souls finding each other once more across time-and the journey from "you and me" to "us."
Set against Yo2La's signature ethereal sound, "Before We Became Us" explores the possibility that everything, even the days before we met, had always been leading us to this moment.
