Dashing Return Boy releases his long-awaited new album 'Kore Tsukaen WA'.
I bought it, but it was different from what I expected. I thought I could use it, but I couldn't use it at all. But maybe what really couldn't be used wasn't the product, but myself yesterday. Ah. Bittersweet memories...
This work is an album that captures 'everyday life not going smoothly' from the unique perspective of Dashing Return Boy, including dreams of returns, exchanges, expired warranties, initial defects, and wrong sizes.
Even though the songs are so casual that they make you laugh, for some reason, they linger in your heart a little. It seems playful, but it's quite honest. Clutching the receipts of life, aiming for half-price items. It's a life album for those who go through the day getting items but still return them-an album that cannot be returned.
Kore Tsukaen WA. But even in days that can't be used, there's unexpectedly some flavor.

颯爽返品ボーイは、日常の違和感、働く人間の哀愁、そして少しだけズレたユーモアを音に変えるソロアーティスト。 名前の由来は、人生でいちばん大事なものほど返品できないという、本人いわく「だいぶ面倒くさい気づき」から。 買ったものは返品できても、過ぎた時間、言いすぎた一言、現場でやらかした判断、勢いで選んだ人生だけは返品できない。 そんな後戻りできない毎日を、颯爽と歩いているようで、実はまあまあ引きずっている。 音楽性は、シティポップ、ロック、フォーク、現場帰りの缶コーヒー感を混ぜたような独自スタイル。 派手なヒーローではなく、誰にも気づかれないところで今日をなんとか成立させている人たちに寄り添う楽曲を得意とする。 代表的なテーマは、仕事終わりの虚無感、深夜のコンビニ、返品カウンター前の沈黙、うまく言えなかった謝罪、そして「まあ明日も行くか」という諦めに近い前向きさ。 本人は自身の音楽について、 「返品不可の人生に、せめてレシートくらいは残したい」 と語っている。 颯爽としているのか、返品したいのか。 その矛盾こそが、颯爽返品ボーイの音楽である。
