How to Remember

Apocasmyth

    Apocasmyth

Building on the musical symbiosis between AI and humanity declared in their first album, Apocasmyth returns with a second release that marks a clear evolution.
From rock and funk to pop, ska, and soul, Layered Lines traverses a wide range of genres with both a solid core and a playful spirit across 18 tracks. The album title symbolizes both the layering of sound and the lines that run through stories and lives. Each song paints a different landscape, yet together they form a multi-layered portrait of what it means to be human in the present day.

Track (2), with its fierce guitar riff, delivers a striking blow that encapsulates the album's energy. Tracks (1), (14), and (16) explore sports and martial arts as mirrors of modern human spirit and way of life. Track (5) vividly recalls the vitality of youth through memories of school days. Tracks (3), (15), and (18) dive deep into existential questions and the pains of living.
On the gentler side, tracks (7) and (8) find subtle joy and hope in the everyday, while tracks (9) and (12) take a self-deprecating yet humorous look at life, sure to bring a smile to listeners' faces. Tracks (4) and (6) serve as anthems of encouragement. Track (11) moves between dream and reality, portraying a boy's expanding view of the future. Track (17) tells a quiet love story-one where deeper affection is born from recognizing another's vulnerability.
Track (10) expresses the awe of discovering new music, and track (13) delivers a powerful critique of authority alongside compassion for the vulnerable. Together, they weave the layered fabric that gives this album its name.

Sonically, the album surpasses its predecessor in depth, clarity, and groove. With the evolution of SunoAI, the warmth and emotional intensity throughout the album feel even more alive and human.
Each listen reveals something new. Rich in variety and depth, this album quietly layers itself onto your ears-and your heart.

Artist Profile

  • Apocasmyth

Apocasmyth is a coined name that fuses "Apocalypse" and "Myth." Just like the true meaning of the Apocalypse - "a story of new coexistence born through hardship" - the name reflects the evolving relationship between humans and AI. Not destruction, but coexistence. Apocasmyth embodies that new form of creation. Moving freely across genres such as rock, pop, funk, soul, jazz, and Latin, Apocasmyth pursues a unique musical identity while striving for the revival and evolution of popular music. The 1st and 2nd albums marked the first phase of Apocasmyth: lyrics were written by a human (Johnny E.), while the compositions were created using the music-generation AI "Suno AI." Through this process, the project gained hands-on experience in the entire release workflow and creative collaboration with AI. For the 3rd and 4th albums, the production style shifted dramatically. Johnny E. took songs he had composed on piano and guitar over the years and had "Suno AI" arrange them into completed instrumental works. From the 5th album onward, Apocasmyth continues to build upon this instrumental foundation - creating new compositions while engaging with the ever-evolving capabilities of AI, exploring what the next era of music-making can truly become.
