cinnamons is a post J-POP band based in Tokyo, consisting of Mariko Suzuki (vocal) and Shinji Aoyama (guitar). The band formed in 2016. cinnamons features "CANDY VOICE" and shimmering sound. The band provide a few songs for Japanese TV programs and web advertisements. The collaboration song "summertime" (#kiminotoriko) with allied evening cinema ranked 7th in Spotify 2020 "Most played Japanese songs overseas" and over 100 million streams. Currently vocalist is active while raising three children.
This band was formed in August 2015 by Natsuki Harada (Vocal and composer) when he was in a university. Their sound reconstructs 80's AOR / Light Funk / Electric Boogie (which are called City Pop collectively in Japan) into 90's J-Pop. Their sound also has a hommage of Yasuyuki Okamura whom they love and respect. They are noteworthy in music industry and people who works for music admire their talent. In July 2016, they debuted with their first mini album "Almost Blue" from LUCK by Ano(t)raks. Ano(t)raks is going to release their music from 2020.
