ゴスペルグループ『CONBRIO』『Selah Gospel Singers』のディレクター、そしてゴスペルデュオ『PAUSA』でも活躍するSEISHI TOYA（遠谷政史）が、満を期してアルバム『TIME MACHINE』をリリース。
昨年先行リリースされた『Stay』と『Weankess』を含む全9曲。強烈なビートの上に、ソフトなボーカルが重なり、暖かいメッセージを奏でる新しいゴスペルサウンド。
アーティスト情報
Seishi Toya
母親の影響で、幼少の頃からレイ・チャールズ、マヘリア・ジャクソン、スティービー・ワンダーやマイケル・ジャクソンなど、歌うのも聴くのもR&Bやソウルミュージックに囲まれた環境で育つ。 18才で渡米し、マサチューセッツ州とニュージャージー州に約6年間滞在。帰国後はデザイナーとして活躍。 やがてゴスペルに出会い、音楽的魅力に惹き込まれるとともにそのメッセージに人生を大きく変えられ、本格的にゴスペルシンガーとして歩みはじめた。 2010年にはゴスペルグループ『CONBRIO（コンブリオ）』を結成。地方遠征も含め年間を通して数多くのライブに出演し好評を博している。 2013年にはゴスペルディレクター／ピアニストの大山小夜子と『PAUSA』を結成。 2015年にはJAPAN MASS CHOIRデビューCD「POWERFUL」のリードボーカルに起用され、同CDはアメリカ・ビルボードのゴスペル部門トップ10にランクイン。ドーヴ賞にもノミネートされる。 指導のみならず積極的にライブ活動も展開しているほか、精力的にオリジナル楽曲制作、ゴスペルワークショップ、ボーカルレッスン、他アーティストのクワイアアレンジやクロマティック・ハーモニカ演奏などを手がけている。 2020年3月より横浜《Selah Gospel Singers》のディレクターに就任。 2020年11月には初のソロアルバム《TIME MACHINE》を発売。 2021年1月には第29回目を迎えた米【American Gospel Quartet Convention】に日本人として初出演。 2022年10月にはゴスペルグループ『CONBRIO』の火曜日グループ『CONBRIO TUESDAY』を結成。 2023年1月、米アラバマ州バーミンガムで行われた『The 31st Annual American Gospel Quartet Convention』のスペシャルゲストとして出演。オフィシャルアンバサダーに就任。
