Artist Profile

  • Saori Inajima

    Born in Hokkaido, raised in Chiba Prefecture. Graduated from Toho Girls' High School Music Department and Toho Gakuen University, performing in the graduation recital. After completing graduate studies at the same university, served as a contract performer there. Winner of numerous awards including Bronze Prize at the Chopin International Piano Competition in ASIA Asia Regional Competition and 2nd Prize at the Romania International Music Competition. Also active in composition and arrangement, she was selected as a finalist (8th prize) in Spain's Fidelio Piano Composition Competition for her original piece "Étude, Op. 1". Her solo album reached No.1 on the iTunes World Music Chart. Two CDs performed as part of a piano duo were selected as Recommended Recordings by Record Geijutsu magazine. She has performed in halls, schools, and outdoor venues across 20 countries on 6 continents worldwide, as well as throughout Japan's 8 major regions. She delivers performances that blend serious artistry with playful elements, always prioritizing connection with her audience. She has performed piano concertos with the Toho Gakuen Orchestra Academy and the Tokyo YCN Orchestra. She has also appeared frequently in performances sponsored by the Agency for Cultural Affairs and in touring concerts with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. She is the representative of the PTNA Omotesando Pause Station and a full member of the Japan Chopin Society. She also serves as a judge for piano competitions in various regions.
