    10代前半に音楽と出会い、引っ込み思案だった自分を変えるためラップという武器を手にして音楽活動をスタート。 その後様々な人と出会い、愛を知り、自分は決して孤独ではないことを知り、それを多くの人に伝えたいと立ち上がって、2010年に“LGMonkees”としてメジャーデビューした。 2010年の1st miniアルバム『LGMonkees』からは、Dragon Ash feat ZEEBRA & ACOのリアレンジカバー「Grateful Days feat. Noa」が話題を呼び、レコチョク「クラブうた」2010年度年間ランキング1位や、有線放送キャンシステム7月度お問合わせチャート1位を獲得。同様に「Life feat.Noa」も、各チャートを席巻し注目を集め、JOYSOUNDの歌詞検索サイトでも1位を獲得した。 2011年3月16日には2nd miniアルバム『前回のLGMonkeesこと山猿です』をリリース。 その直前には東日本大震災で自ら被災し、家が津波の被害を受け避難所生活を送るという経験もあり、それはLGMonkeesにとって大きな糧となった。温かい声援や人々の支援に感銘を受け、音楽を通じて「愛」「絆」「勇気」をたくさん伝えたいという想いで「3090〜愛のうた〜」を同年10月にシングルとしてリリースするや、泣ける歌として話題になり、「NEWS ZERO」「ミヤネ屋」など全国ネットのTV番組でも大きく取り上げられ、配信は累計150万DLを突破、動画サイトでは1000万PVを超えている。 2014年8月、突如、LGMonkees解散を発表し、10月6日には東京にて「 LGMonkees解散LIVE みんなありがとう!! 〜でも寂しいからサヨナラは言わないよ〜」の公演を即完売させ、そのステージで「山猿」として再始動することを発表する。 メジャーアーティスト歴10年。 こんなCDが売れない時代に、店頭にも置かないアルバム『あいことば7』を2020年3月10日、自身７作目のアルバムとしてリリース。 今の音楽シーンでは珍しく、配信などはせず、さらにCDショップの店頭にも置かないCD音源だけのインディーズ作品となっている。 「90%以上が実体験から生み出されている」と発言しているように、嘘偽りも飾ることもない真っ直ぐな言葉で表現されている歌詞も見逃せない。 地元福島に在住しながら日本全国へ「愛」を「うた」にのせて 発信している「今」最注目のアーティストである。
