"FACE" is an EP that captures the face of the za as they are today.

Drawing from a wide range of musical influences, including J-pop, rock, hip-hop, R&B, and soul, the za explores the different sides of their current identity through each track on the EP.

The title FACE reflects the idea that each song represents a different part of a face-like the eyes, nose, or mouth. While every track has its own distinct character and expression, together they come together to form a single face: the za.

FACE is a snapshot of what the za sounds like now and where the band stands at this moment-a portrait of their current identity.

    Formed in Hokkaido in November 2022, the za relocated to Tokyo in 2025 and began full-scale activities. Leveraging each member's strengths, the band handles everything in-house - from songwriting and composition to mixing, mastering, artwork, and music video production. Blending rock, hip-hop, R&B, and soul, they craft a distinctive sound that transcends genres. Beneath their catchy surface lies a nuanced expression of emotional shifts and subtle dissonance, conveyed through both lyrics and arrangement. Through a fully self-produced approach, the za presents a cohesive world where sound and visual aesthetics are seamlessly intertwined.
