MASA YOUNG looks back on 39 years of his life and released this studio live album to celebrate his 40th birthday. The album is a collection of songs that draw on the influence of singer-songwriters such as John Mayer and Bob Dylan, as well as the Rap Rock and J-RAP scenes that he experienced in real time with artists such as Dragon Ash and Deftech. The album features playful song arrangements such as calm country folk, soft surf music, and rap-style storytelling with impressive lyrics. The recording engineer, Sora Arimura, was invited to his home studio, and the work is filled with the unique sensibility gained from years of live performances on the road with a single acoustic guitar, and the first take was made with a heightened sense of reality. The album features 10 carefully selected songs, including "Traveling Bus," "Aozora," and "Leaves," all of which are popular live favorites that the artist has a strong emotional attachment to.
