"Ichizu" is the story of a girl who had only ever known love through romance dramas and novels - until one day, she suddenly fell in love herself.
She once believed that love had nothing to do with her, yet before she knew it, her heart was racing. Confused but determined, she realized, "Maybe I'm more devoted than I thought." This song follows her as she strives for the happy ending she had always dreamed of, with the person she loves.
The themes of this song are love and sincerity.
To love someone wholeheartedly can be clumsy, uncertain, and even painful at times - but still, you want to keep moving forward with honesty and courage. That raw and genuine feeling is what I poured into the melody and lyrics.
I hope that when you listen, you'll recall your own experiences of love and youth, think of someone special to you, or perhaps even be reminded of those days when you wore a school uniform and fell in love.
At the same time, "Ichizu" is also my very first original work.
I wrote, composed, and recorded everything by trial and error. There were many moments when doubts and fears nearly crushed me, but what kept me going was the desire to capture a sound that only exists right now. Even without a professional environment, I believe there are moments that only I can express - and that belief is what shaped this song.
This song is also a record of my youth with my friends.
We shared ideas after school, practiced dances until we were drenched in sweat, and kept running toward the dream stage of our school festival.
Within "Ichizu" are the excitement of love, the sparkle of youth, and the sweat and tears I shared with the people beside me.
I hope this song can stay close to your heart, become a part of your memories and everyday life, and bring you even a little courage or excitement.
Please listen to "Ichizu" - a story of love and youth, told straight from the heart.
