• Artoone!

  Artoone! is a creative collective of artists, formed primarily by graduates of Tokyo University of the Arts (Geidai), built on the concept of "bringing art closer to everyday life." Its members come from distinct disciplines - vocal performance, percussion, composition, sound engineering, painting, design, and architecture - and together bridge the academic depth cultivated through their studies in classical music, opera, and fine art at Geidai with the openness of pop music that anyone can enjoy. Their work unfolds across original songs, video pieces, and live performance as a single, integrated expression. The music is led by Okeie (vocals, composition, lyrics), Yano (composer, strings, lyrics), Honda (drums, composition, lyrics), and Ikeda (sound engineer). Members from the visual arts also contribute artwork and video, constructing a world in which music, art, moving image, and performance operate as one. Under the banner of "a new definition of pop," Artoone! reframes art not as something distant, but as entertainment that speaks to the sensibilities of people living today - gracefully redrawing the line between art and pop.
