This track represents the second installment of the "CONTINUUM" art project, dedicated to the spirits of Dutch masters Johannes Vermeer and Hieronymus Bosch. The audio, interwoven with multiple vocal layers and meticulous beats, creates a mystical yet profound soundscape.
The track's composition offers a contemporary reinterpretation of Bosch's chaotic fantasy world and Vermeer's pursuit of tranquil harmony of light. The emotional development, particularly from the middle of the track, expresses hope amidst despair and the timeless continuum of art, symbolized by the imagery of a figure standing among ruins and a giant, wing-like cloud floating in the sky.
The rich texture of the low frequencies and the sparkling synthesizer tones in the high frequencies evoke the contrast between the desertified earth and the divine sky, inviting listeners on a journey through time and space. This song combines the legacy of past masters with modern digital sounds, elevating it to a new classic.
Nuearz is a solo project by Japanese artist Kazuhiro Okuda. He has released two albums, "Saturation Point" and "Face Lift," from the UK label Skam Records. Additionally, he has released two albums, "Last Straw" and "Funny Bone," from his own label Logica et Natura. He also participated in the compilation album "A Sign 2" by the new Osaka label Remodel. The CDs released by Skam Records are notable not only for their original music but also for the designs by two renowned artists, Chantal Michel and Fernando F. Fonseca. Nuearz's composition style involves reinterpreting synthesizer preset sounds and music samples as pure sound movements, liberated from their historical and contextual backgrounds. By combining sounds that have never been heard before, he awakens hidden contexts and fragments of history within the music, leading to the creation of new contexts.
