The English "Could you?" is a polite expression meaning "Would you mind doing...?"
However, in Japanese, it sounds like "angry" or "agonizing."
What this reveals is a tremendous dilemma: "On the surface, they're asking very humbly, but in reality, they're being pushed to their limits and suffering (angry)."
The gap between the polite language and the heartache of making a choice is incredibly emotional (ZGZSN).
Even though it's an everyday place, the situation of a late-night convenience store with few streetlights and a unique eeriness and silence really highlights the sense of desperation.
I've experienced mentally unstable people more than enough with my ex-girlfriend...
By the way, I've had the song title in mind since high school.
I like Beast Senpai. (Not Mr. Beast) Please check out my YouTube channel and consider subscribing really appreciate it! I am also active on Niconico Video so feel free to follow me there as well. Back in high school I joined a music related club and formed a band for the school festival where I took charge of guitar and vocals. Playing music together with friends, I gradually became drawn to the idea of creating music that can quietly accompany someones time. My defining musical awakening came during junior high school. One night a song by Spitz played in the car and it struck me deeply. It was the moment I realized how melodies and lyrics can intertwine with scenery and memories an experience that still serves as the foundation of my songwriting today. Nowadays I create music by gently capturing emotions found in everyday life. Even during work breaks or while commuting melodies, lyrics, and chord progressions are constantly playing in my head (does anyone else live like this? lol). Late night drives, stopping at traffic lights on the way home staring out the window without thinking about anything I aim to make music that softly flows through those solitary moments and resonates with listeners memories and emotions. I mainly compose using Cubase 12. My go to instruments are a Chai classical guitar and a PSSA50 MIDI keyboard. I have also recently started working with Synthesizer V and Kasane Teto, which has greatly expanded my creative possibilities.
