Drift Pulse / Pass on the Story

This is the first single from Puzzle Drift, a new band featuring keyboardist and composer Shota Mizuguchi, drummer of the instrumental band LOOP POOL.

As the band's name suggests, Drift Pulse features a minimalist structure and groove-driven style, portraying the gradual convergence of the preceding unconscious and the different pulses of the mind and body.

Pass on the Stroy, with its striking chill groove and electric piano, quietly and affirmingly depicts a story that continues as long as we live.

Mizuguchi, whose background is in post-rock, electronica, minimal, and jazz, is joined by tenor saxophonist Masumi Isaka, active in the ska scene, and drummer Misaki Tomita, who is in her 20s and aims for a new generation of instrumentalists, creating a sound that transcends generations. Mizuguchi personally mixed and mastered this album to clarify the band's direction, resulting in two tracks that clearly define the band's direction.

This is a new-concept instrumental band that plays in a more minimalist and groovy style.
