Rooted in the post-hardcore and emo-screamo movement of that era, this release revives the raw energy of his original band sound in digital album form. Blending moments of intensity and beauty, JAICO’s passionate vocals and strikingly catchy melodies pierce through every track. Featuring the iconic “SAMURAI NINJA”—a song that undoubtedly left its mark on the rock scene of the time—this album weaves together a tapestry of works that trace his musical history.
Born in the South Island of New Zealand to Japanese parents, JAICO SATO began his career as a child actor before moving to Japan to pursue work as a singer and performer. He made his simultaneous solo debut in Japan and the United States, backed by a full rock band. Known for his fierce, high-impact screams and emotional vocals, he was hailed as “the Japanese Linkin Park”, performing at major festivals and on international tours. His two full-length albums and six singles topped the rock charts for four consecutive weeks both in Japan and the state of Ohio. As the youngest Japanese artist to perform at Asia’s largest art festival, Design Festival, he shared the stage with acts such as ELLEGARDEN, Pia, and TVXQ. Later, he gained further attention for producing large-scale events that fused street fashion brand PLAYER, BMX culture, and rock music across Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Korea—before suddenly announcing a hiatus. Now returning to the scene, JAICO is expanding into new horizons—exploring pop and hip-hop as a solo artist while producing remixes for international acts, contributing to Vocaloid, film soundtracks, fashion collections, TV themes, and stage productions. His upcoming collaborations and unit projects mark the next evolution of this versatile multi-artist.
