The latest installment in the "Anonchan no Uta" series, initiated in 2024 as an attempt to extract new order from chaos. By combining sound synthesis through SuperCollider with field recordings, fragmented clusters of sound are reconstructed into a singular "song."
A wavering instability in words, a sense of rhythm unmoored from gravity. Fragmented noise and ghostly reverberations blur the boundaries between physical space and the digital realm, allowing Anonchan's disembodied voice to emerge within those gaps.
The "gabigabi" resonance serves as a deliberate resurfacing of noise and distortion-elements often discarded in the pursuit of technical refinement in music. Rather than eliminating sonic impurities, it seeks to expose their latent potential, crafting a new mode of listening experience.
Started in 2024, \L ⊃ creates chaotic soundscapes where noise and melody coexist, using SuperCollider, a programming language for sound synthesis. Embodying this world is "Anon-chan," a virtual being that reconstructs and sings with voices sourced from unspecified individuals. The wavering, unstable interplay of noise and fragmented words-what is called "Gabigabi"-has been a defining feature of the Anon-chan no Uta series, which continues to be released. By disguising sonic information, fixed data structures are abandoned and stirred into disorder. In this process, individual data points emerge as landscapes, and the foundation of everyday perception is guided by sound.
