Snow Piling Up on the Scorching Earth

In the world we inhabit, countless conflicts arise from differences in values, ideologies, cultures, and perspectives.

Expecting others to think exactly as we do.
Envying what others possess and seeking to take it for ourselves.
Believing solely in our own rightness and attempting to exclude those who are different.

Perhaps many conflicts begin with the desire to make others just like us.

Yet, it is acceptable for things to remain different.

Respecting one another's existence, avoiding unnecessary intrusion, and sometimes maintaining a certain distance are also vital choices that lead to peace.

Refraining from rejection, even when we cannot understand.
Refraining from causing harm, even when we cannot empathize.
Respecting each other's boundaries, even when we cannot stand on the same ground.

If offering gentle companionship proves difficult, one can also choose not to force an involvement. Refraining from domination or interference, and simply living our own lives-that, too, is a form of coexistence.
