MICHI -Futari de iyo-
Thank you for listening. This song was written in 2002 for a close couple who was celebrating their 19th wedding anniversary. The title "MICHI -Futari de iyo-" literal means "The Road -Let's Stay Together-". The message of the chorus is: "Let's stay and walk together. The clock never stops and the road never ends as long as we are together". The tempo is slow and the words are simple. Why not practice singing in Japanese to your better half? The chord progression and literal meaning of the lyric are shown below:
1. Kono tokubetsu na hini - On this special day
Kimi to irareru koto - Being able to be with you
Kimo wo tsumato yoberu koto - Being able to call you my wife
Hoka ni nani mo iranai - I don't need anything else
Taishita byoki mo sezu - No serious illnesses
Ohkina shakkin mo tsukurazu - No major debts
Suteki na kazoku ni megu marete - Having a wonderful family
Ima ga ichiban shiawase - I'm happiest right now
(Chorus)
Futari de iyo - Let's stay together
Itsumade mo iyo - To the end of time
Tokei wa toma ranai - The clock never stops
Futari de yori soeba - If we stay close together
Futari de yuko - Let's walk together
Dokomade mo yuko - To the end of the road
Kono michi wa owa ranai - This road never ends
Futari de aruite yukeba - If we walk together
2. Jukyu nen mono aida - For 19 years
Nando mo kenka shita kedo - We've fought so many times
Kore made issho ni ite kurete - For staying with me all this time
Arigato chotto tereru kedo - Thank you, a little embarrassed to say
Kore kara nani ga okoruka - What will happen next?
Dareni mo wakaranai kedo - Nobody knows
Ima kokoi ware wa chikau - I swear here and now
Kimi wo eien ni mamoru - I will protect you forever
(Chorus)
Kono michi wa owa ranai - This road never ends
Futari de aruite yukeba - If we walk together

Artist Profile
A-Boon
"Once heard, never forgotten" -- with that motto, I have been writing songs for events. "I Won't Let You Go" is the first song I published, thanks to TuneCore Japan. It was inspired by the movie "Titanic" and the song was fairly completed in my head before leaving the theater. I plan to publish one song per month, written in English, Japanese, Spanish, and French, in such styles as J-pop, pops, rock, jazz, Latin, folk, classical, techno, country, and children's song. If you are an artist wanting to cover any of my songs or a TV/film producer looking for a new song, feel free to contact me. My strength is to write an unforgettable melody based on the theme given and your preferred style. Feel free to contact me through Instagram DM. Looking forward to hearing from you.
