In the Next Life, I will Be Your Cat is a fragile love song set somewhere between a hospital room, a fading star, and the quiet wish to remain beside someone after death.
The song traces a final love through soft images of footsteps on linoleum, a dim star held close, the short life of a butterfly, and the tenderness of wanting no flowers only the person you loved most. Rather than asking for eternity, the narrator dreams of returning in the next life as a white cat, allowed to sleep in the arms of the one they cannot let go of.
Delicate, ghostly, and intimate, the track carries the feeling of a last letter written from the edge of disappearance.

It moves through fragile violence sacred distortion and feminine metamorphosis from the image of a girl preserved like a relic to the body of a woman who refuses to remain beautiful silent and dead. This is not a lament for youth. It is a small ritual of return. Not a dead girl. Not a saint. Not the wound made beautiful.
