Never Meant to Be (feat. Yoko Sugise)

On July 7, 2018, a Tanabata two-man live featuring Toru Tabuchi and Yoko Sugise was held at Namba tidepool.

This work was written as a commissioned collaboration specifically for that event. Although both artists felt it had become a strong piece, it was left unreleased for many years.

After the passage of time, they made a fresh decision in 2026 to finally record it.

With the addition of the bassist, guitarist, and drummer from Pirates Canoe, the work was ultimately completed.
