The international songwriter Mayphy released a new album which contains a world of four stories, all of them full of originality.
Music and words are turned into a metaphorical concept of the four elements, "wind, fire, earth and water.
Mayphy composed three songs, "Healing, Perugia and Sagittarius".
The fourth one, "Quiet-Snow", is a waltz instrumental song composed by Akihiko Nakajima who is the bassist of Mayphy Quartet. It came into an exquisite collaboration with Mayphy's melancholic Japanese lyrics based on on the theme of water.
Healing is an attractive composition surrounded by a comfortable sound with the theme of "earth".
The theme of wind appears in "Perugia" and was written in the experience of performances at the Umbria Jazz Festival in 2008 and 2019. The recordings show the free world of improvisational jams and vocal.
The theme of the musical-style song "Sagittarius" is "Fire", and the songwriting also incorporates the playfulness of Sagittarius.
All songs are arranged by Mayphy Quartet. And this time, drummer Nobuyoshi Takahashi plays an immersive percussion and spiritual drums. Takanori Onda is a pianist who plays a light and delicate tone. He also involved into the The mix and mastering, making it an acoustic and lively album.

Mayphy HP: Mayphy.net 神戸出身、東京育ち。4歳からピアノを始める。15歳からRock band のVocal を始める。20歳でダンス講師になる。遠藤久美子等のアイドルのBacking vocal 、 Dancer をしていた1997年頃からMayphyとして東京でR&B,Soul を歌い始める。 2003年〜2004年にオリジナルミュージカル Feelin’Soulを作・演出・作詞した事をきっかけに音楽家を志す。2003年同名のFeelin' Soul Production 設立、インディーズレーベルとしてミニアルバムをリリース。 2006年単身渡英、同年から2008年 Londonで音楽留学Jazz, Blues,Soul, Pops 等を学ぶ。Roland Perrin 、Anita Wardell 、Julian Burdock 等トップミュージシャンに師事。London在住中、Musical “GRIOT” に自曲2曲を劇中歌採用され、出演。 2008年Umbria Jazz Festival (Italy)Venue band 参加した”May AndJune”を始め、”Mayphy Jazz Band”としてもLondon在住４年間に多数ライブ出演。 Vocal Diploma (Tech Music School)・ Piano Diploma(LCCM)、Certificate of Teaching ABRSM取得。 2010年 Franceへ移りシャンソンを学ぶ。 World Music Band “ Phildissime “との共演プロジェクトに”Rebirth”を作曲、同タイトルのalbumをFrance で発売、音楽家、作曲家としてFRANCE ・SACEM / SPEDDIDAMに登録。 2012年帰国し関西を中心にライブ活動。2017年Paris でライブ出演。 2018年6月 Album “Mind Map”リリースをきっかけに全国にライブを展開。 2020年 Vocalistの為の実践型育成コース Professional Course設立。 2021年1月 風・地・火・水をコンセプトに4曲入りアルバム “4Elements ”をリリース。 バイリンガル、舞台人表現力と自曲は1度鑑賞した人を魅了すると定評、ヨーロッパと日本全国にファンを増やし続けている。
