Artist Profile

  • Brother Shimu and Mahalo Orchestra

What is Brother Sim and the Mahalo Band...? An omnivorous amateur band active in Tokyo, Japan, formed in March 2017 out of a lunchtime ukulele class at work. The band always has around 10 members (including students) and organises and performs at joint live events several times a year. The band is always looking for members and welcomes players of all instruments. The band's repertoire includes rock, pops, techno, jazz, blues, classical, anime songs, etc. The band's leader, Brother Shimu, arranges and performs any song according to the skills of the members, so the repertoire is omnivorous and genre-independent.
