    1月22日生まれ出身地北海道（現在も在住） 血液型A型。 5歳から、電子オルガンを始め、小学6年のときに全道大会で優勝。 幼少の頃から続ける音楽は、さらに小・中・高と吹奏楽部に在籍し様々な楽器を体験。そこで音楽の基礎を形成する事になった。 高校時代バンドを結成しボーカルの楽しさを発見。大学の頃にははっきりとプロになる事を自覚する。 ボーカルスクールに通いながら、得意のピアノの演奏を生かし、2006年よりオリジナルやカバーソングの弾き語りライブを始める。 まるで「母」のような、豊かな包容力が醸し出す優しさと、常に前に進もうとする、強い意志を感じる強さが同居した声は、これ以上ない説得力を与え、同時に彼女の最大の個性となる。 聴くものを自然に笑顔にさせ、気持ちを穏やかにさせてくれる。 毎日の中で感じる全ての感情を、素敵にしてくれる。 ピアノ・ストリングスという優しい「生」の音と、無機質ながらも、淡々とした強さを表すデジタルなリズム音はIKUの歌唱表現とカンペキにシンクロしている。 このアレンジを施したのは、札幌を拠点に活動をするクリエイター「高瀬一矢」。
