SPHERE of INFLUENCE made a sensational debut in 2002 with his
first solo album "THE INFLUENCE" on the legendary label Def Jam Japan. He went on to release numerous hit songs while dominating the Japanese rap and R&B scene of the 2000's. It has been 22 years since his last solo album and now he is back with his new album,
"SPHiNX: Rise of MU"!
Built on a sound inspired by 90s hip-hop, the album features a diverse range of tracks, from tough, jazzy numbers to chill lo-fi beats, as well as genre-bending sounds blending funk and R&B and showcases a diverse lineup of guest artists. The result is a peaceful album that showcases SPHERE's evolution, featuring guest appearances by L-VOKAL, WISE (TERIYAKI BOYZ), ISH-ONE, Shen (E.D.O.), DENDA MAO, and JAMOSA, while the production team includes DJ Tonk, DJ Sachiho, Marcus D, and GENJU as DiRTY XL DiGGA.

    SPHERE of INFLUENCE is a bilingual rapper who uses his experience in New York as a weapon. He has performed with CRYSTAL KAY, M-FLO, Al, MAYJ, JAMOSA, Thelma Aoyama, ZEEBRA, RUN DMC, Sarina Suzuki (Munehiro), JESSE (RIZE), URATA NAOYA (AAA), and countless others.In 2009, he released a major single, "Kimi to itai feat Denda Mao," which ranked No. 1 on the Oricon Chaku-Uta Full Weekly Ranking. In 2023, the EP "leMUria IN AScEnsion" made it to the top 30 of the Hiphop/Rap Chart on iTunes. In 2026, he released his first solo album in 22 years, SPHiNX: Rise of MU.
