The five-member band mezcolanza will release "Savory," the second in a series of three consecutive monthly singles.
The new song is a fast-paced, explosive pop punk number that is full of the band's appeal as a live act, and vocalist Cocomi commented that "Savory will definitely look great live."
As with the previous album, the cover design was done by member Izumi Okano (Bass), the engineer was Sari (Endhits studio), and the mastering was done by Yuka Koizumi (Orange). It was also announced that a music video featuring footage of the song's debut live performance will be released on March 5th.
The music video for the lead song "Cliche," live footage, behind-the-scenes footage, and other content are already available on the official YouTube channel.
In addition, to commemorate this release, it has been announced that a release event, "mezcolanza presents Shurashura BAR ~ vol. 7 ~ Spring Release Party Edition" will be held on March 28th, and a solo live show, "Maido! Mezcolanza's Long-awaited Osaka Solo 2025" will be held on March 29th, and tickets are now on sale.
More details will be announced on mezcolanza's SNS from time to time.
mezcolanza was formed in April 2014 by Cocomi (Vo./also known as Kokomi Naruse), Taro Kato (Gt./ex-BEAT CRUSADERS), and Hajimetal (Key./ex-Midori). The band is known for its cross-genre, eclectic musical style that freely blends different sounds and expressions. Their latest release, LIVE AT GrapeFruitMoon, captures the acoustic one-man live held on July 17, 2025, at Sangenjaya GrapeFruitMoon in Tokyo. With this performance, bassist Izumi Okano and drummer Kensuke Nishiura graduated from the band, marking the end of its original five-member era. Moving forward, mezcolanza enters Phase 2 with Cocomi, Kato, and Hajimetal at its core. The band will continue to evolve with flexible formations, from acoustic sets to full-band performances, joined by support musicians.
