Artist Profile

  • Gento Miyano

Born February 12, 1994, in Tokyo, Japan. A sound producer deeply influenced by rock, jazz, R&B, disco, house, and more, Gento Miyano builds his music around a strong sense of groove and intricate harmonic writing. He alternates between making cute music and cool music- and occasionally makes both at once. His credits include songwriting and arrangements for a wide range of artists, from solo performers such as actor and singer MORISAKI WIN, Kiyotaka Sugiyama, Toko Furuuchi, Yoko Kuzuya, and Riho Sayashi, to idol and voice-actor groups including FRUITS ZIPPER, Philosophy no Dance, and DIALOGUE+. His work extends beyond artist projects to music for educational television, local mascot characters, TV anime, and video games. He is also a multi-instrumentalist on guitar, bass, and keyboards. He has previously performed live in support of artists including Philosophy no Dance and Kiyotaka Sugiyama, and has appeared in nearly every MORISAKI WIN show since his debut as a member of the Crumple Band. In his own band, 7 Segment, Miyano plays guitar and keyboards. As a solo artist, he has released two EPs, each featuring a different guest vocalist from track to track. He continues to make music with a simple aim: to be "good news for you" whenever you happen to spot his name in the credits.
