I can't quite tell where this feeling of unease is coming from.
Is it that my ears hurt from hearing the same thing over and over?
Or is it an unbearable tightness in my chest?
Maybe something's stuck in my gut that I can't swallow.
Or maybe it's my head hurting from realizing there's nothing I can actually do...

And really - who am I, anyway?
Where do "I" begin and end, and what part of that can I even claim as mine?
The more I think about it, the more I lose track of whether anything is actually there at all.
And once I start wondering whether the things I took for granted as "real" were ever real to begin with,
I start to see the strange and dangerous edge hidden in all those "rights" we insist we possess,
and all the "problems" we shout about fixing and force onto each other.
Right now, with all that swirling in me,
I just feel like singing.

Artist Profile

  • Mushi Musume

Songs of insect spirit, here to bug your brain. A fusion of raw voices from this chaotic world and the cries of insects. Sugary-sweet melodies, cut to ribbons by razor-sharp lyrics - listen to the dissonance of your own cognition! *On the YouTube channel Mushi Musume, we post insect-loving short videos every Tuesday and Friday. Each one is like a mayfly's leap - five minutes in a day that can decide the fate of a soul. Please support us! https://www.youtube.com/@mushi_musume Disclaimer: This world is a work of fiction. Any resemblance to actual persons, creatures, or events is purely coincidental. This project is driven by reverence and admiration for Japanese entertainment, employing homage as a means to carry its voice even into the hidden root-space. It is not an official project nor under the supervision of any specific work, theater, or genre of performance. All songs are the fleeting musings of Tsurezure Adabana - a once-in-a-lifetime musical stunt. They are filled with wordplay rooted in the Japanese literary tradition, drawing deeply on the ambiguity and layered meanings of the language. In Japan, people hear the sounds of insects not merely as noise, but as voices. Those voices mirror our own brief lives, and in them we sense inseparable counterparts - honored opposites who can reflect us precisely because they stand at the opposite pole, like warriors who may cross swords in battle yet bow in respect upon the road. I humbly ask for your understanding of any imperfections, and for your warm support as you watch over this endeavor.
