Things That Don't Quite Stay Front Cover

You walk in

Tag on your tote bag swaying

Coffee drip

Ink on your wrist still fading

You say "deadline"

Laugh like it ain't that serious

But your eyes

Say this thing feels dangerous

You keep your heart filed under draft

Say it's just work

You just laugh

But every time you lean in close

The margins blur

The story grows

DITA

DITA

You wrap my world in paper skin

Tiny notes on every inch

I fall through every fold you spin

DITA

You mark my name in secret blue

Hide it where they never view

But every line leads back to you

DITA

Cold screen

Cursor blinks like it's waiting

Soft sigh

You bite your lip

Keep typing

You say "plot twist"

Change the plan like it's nothing

But my pulse

Won't obey your outlining

You say it's fiction

Just pretend

But you keep writing me again

Every chapter

Every scene

I'm in the spaces in between

DITA

Spell it out

Then look away

If I'm just words on a page

Why do you tremble on my name?

Pull the draft out from your chest

Let the truth leak through your vest

If we burn

Then let us burn

Some stories never wait their turn

Jane-B is a duo found in the middle of nowhere in Oklahoma, USA.
They like a song written by someone and sing it to stay together for a while.
Jane-B is the nickname that Gondo's family called him when he was born, and it was apparently given to him by his own brother. He still calls him
that to this day.

Jane-B's voice is fading but remains close by.
It could be a demo and reference.
How would you sing it?
