I LOVE INUYAMA

"I Love Inuyama" is a song created to support the local community, set against the backdrop of Inuyama Castle-a National Treasure located in Inuyama City, Aichi Prefecture-and its castle town. It thoughtfully depicts the scenery of the four seasons and the sentiments of the people who live there. Spring festivals, summer cormorant fishing, autumn streetscapes, and the quiet presence of the castle in winter-scenes spanning the entire year in Inuyama are woven together through warm lyrics and a gentle melody.

The lyrics were written by Yoshihiro Ishida, former mayor of Inuyama City. Each verse is imbued with his deep affection for the castle town of Inuyama, Aichi Prefecture, and his thoughts for the people living there. The music, vocals, and piano are by Miyako Senda. Her simple, warm soundscape quietly blends with the scenery of Inuyama. These songs have been performed not only in Inuyama City, Aichi Prefecture, but also at international events in places like Taiwan and Thailand, conveying the culture of Japan's castle towns and the sentiments of their people to audiences overseas. It is a heartwarming anthem that connects castles and towns, people and people, and evokes memories of each listener's own "hometown."

Miyako Senda served as the Monday morning host for Aichi Kita FM-located in the Inuyama castle town-during the station's first six years of operation, and continues to support broadcasts from Inuyama (including global broadcasts via Ustream).
